Joe cut his Long Island rock-scene teeth in the ’80s, playing in local favorites Samantha and The Hots. After a “brief” 25 year hiatus for kids and career, Joe returned to the scene playing in J.D. and the All Stars and Let It Bleed. Although a serious Genesis fan since high school, Joe never had the opportunity to really learn and play this catalog - until now! Since connecting with the Seconds Out guys, he’s had a ball taking on the challenging Tony Banks parts and helping build Seconds Out’s special chemistry.
Embarking on his musical journey in 2012, Mike transitioned from solo performances at local venues to collaborating with bands like El Camino and Carbon Copy. His college years introduced him to the captivating world of Genesis, sparking a dream to create a tribute band. Enter Seconds Out, the band he was always ready for. This was Mike's opportunity to embrace the iconic Peter and Phil vocals, pick up and learn the flute (in 7 months!), don Hawaiian shirts, and serenade audiences with the timeless tunes that Genesis fans cherish.
Frank has been a drummer in various bands for 40 years—such as DNA, Skewed, 6 Degrees, and Expressway Jam—yet hasn't been as excited about music as he is with Seconds Out. He has been a fan of Genesis since the 8th grade, and was so obsessed with Phil Collin's drumming, he would watch video tapes of Phil's performances through a mirror (Phil is lefty), as to study how the songs were played! Now, Frank has gladly taken on the enormous task of driving the tempo of the band, and hopes he does the songs—and his bandmates—proud.
Al started playing bass in 1984 in the elementary school orchestra. He started appearing on stage on Long Island and in New York City in 2000 in several cover bands, including Splinter, Lost Time, Limewired, Expressway Jam, Nakatomi Plaza and currently, Stereomatic. His playlist includes Pink Floyd, the Smiths, Jane’s Addiction, Primus, David Bowie, the Cure, Depeche Mode and of course, Genesis. Breaking down and faithfully recreating the classic Michael Rutherford bass lines has been an extremely rewarding, tremendous challenge.
Richard Rossicone has been playing guitar since the age of 8 and is a grizzled veteran of the Long Island/ NYC scene, playing in countless projects, sessions and gigs over his 30 year career as a professional working guitarist. Already well versed in rock, jazz and classical idioms, Richard jumped at the chance to play with the other seasoned and amazing musicians in Seconds Out. He has been thrilled to perform the unique and challenging guitar styles displayed throughout the music of Genesis, and in the process, has been helpful in further expanding his guitar vocabulary.
